From the Gallery... Mount Vernon News CENTERBURG -- Knox County officials assembled Wednesday afternoon to investigate a neighbor's complaint about the condition of cattle kept at the property of David Vernon, located at the southeast corner of Ball Road and Hall Road in Hilliar Township, along the Morrow County line. Veterinarian Dr. Greg Price was on hand for the inspection, as was Knox County Dog Warden Roger Reed. No citation was issued, as the officials determined that the condition of Vernon's herd could be attributed to the recent dry conditions. Reed gave no comment at the scene, and could not be reached for comment later.

COLUMBUS -- There isn't much Dario Franchitti hasn't done this Indy Racing League season. He is the current points leader after 10 races, he won the coveted Indianapolis 500 this year for the first time, and in 10 starts this year, he has finished in the top 10 in every single one. Nine of them were top five finishes.
