We offer a wide range of courses from standard courses in Italian language to private lessons, conversation courses, grammar courses, preparation courses for the CILS exam and specialised courses such as Cooking, wine tasting and the history of art.

We also have preparation courses for the exams needed for entry into the the scientific faculties of Italian universities.

During summer, we have courses at Viareggio, a city considered to be one of the most prestigious and attractive locations on the Tirrenica coast.
Its a young and elegant city full of life and fun. Surrounded by pines, it has one of the most beautiful promenades of the Versilia Sea.

Italian courses in Pisa

The main site for our courses is in Pisa.
Pisa has the biggest airport in Tuscany serviced by most well known airlines as well as a number of low-cost airlines which are connected to all of Italy and the rest of the world.

The city is also well connected by trains and highways to other important Italian cities Like Florence, Lucca, Siena, Rome, Milan and Venice.
Pisa is a university city famous for the leaning tower and its history as one of the four great Maritime Republics. »»

Grants
Each year, the Istituto Linguistico Mediterraneo awards a limited number of free courses (Grants A) or a discount of 50% on the cost of the course (Grants B) to Italian Institutes of Culture and some universities in various countries. Each course lasts four weeks and includes twenty hours of lessons a week. The criteria for the award of the grants are established by the Italian Institutes of Culture and by the universities to which they have been awarded. »»

Certificates and diplomas A certificate of participation is presented to each student at the end of a course.
For those who have completed a course of at least 4 weeks it is possible to sit a written and oral exam to obtain an ILM certificate.
The Istituto Linguistico Mediterraneo is a CILS exam site. »»
